You can see the image to the left in my wide shots of Space Mountain. This poster is in the base of the cannon Colombiad.

This Space Mountain is drastically from the two American versions. In fact, what is known as Tomorrowland is called Discoveryland in Disneyland Paris. The art design is a Victorian vision of the future.

It is the future that never was.

Verne's quote celebrates the optimism of an earlier time.
