What is the Adventurers Club?
The Adventurers Club is an interactive comedy club set in the year 1937 at Pleasure Island in Walt Disney World, Florida. It is designed to look like an old explorers' club, complete with eccentric, wealthy adventurers, wait staff, a French maid, and a butler.
Who's who at the Adventurers Club
Pamelia Perkins is our current club president and resident horticulturist. She's also the star of our weekly radio show, "Tales from the Adventurers Club." Dressed in her omnipresent blue-violet paisley dress, she cuts a striking figure, but strangely enough, never seems to have a date! (Perhaps men are intimidated by her eccentricities.)
Otis T. Wren (and the Colonel)
Professor Otis T. Wren is our current club treasurer, resident ichthyologist (translation: fisherman (translation: liar)), and the self-proclaimed most important man you'll meet at the club. Otis also stars in our radio show. He currently holds the record for most consecutive losses in the annual Balderdash Cup competition -- seven years straight! Otis and Pamelia are constantly taking shots at each other, and Otis would like to win the club presidency so he can implement his own policies -- although his questionable financial practices may one day bankrupt the Club!
Hathaway Brown
"Handsome" Hathaway Brown is our club aviator and bon vivant. Famous for his Orlando to 3500 feet short of Cleveland flights, Hathaway never flies the same plane twice. Coincidentally, he almost never dates the same woman twice, either!
Samantha Sterling, adventuress extraordinaire, is frequently away on safari, but when she returns, oh, boy, is it ever a party! She tells us of her adventures and sings for us in the library. She's as beautiful and intelligent as she is adventurous and eccentric.
Fletcher Hodges is our club curator. Ever the absent-minded professor, Fletcher can tell you anything you want to know about any of the artifacts -- if you can hold his attention.
Graves
Graves is the club's butler. Despite the constant abuse he takes from the members, he always seems to get a subtle (or not-so-subtle) shot in here and there.
Anelle, Dusty Cabinets, Dottie Lama, Sparky Plug, Constance, Ginger Vitis, Fannie
These lovely ladies are the French maids. They keep the club clean and the guests and members alike entertained.
Babylonia, Goddess of Woman and All Things Fertile
Babylonia is a supernatural being who channels herself into a giant stone mask on the wall of the club. She's currently having an affair with Abraham Lincoln at Mount Rushmore, but she continually flirts with the male guests and members of the club.
The Colonel is our head gleemeister and chief of security. He's 98% prosthetic and nailed to the armoire, but he's got the parts that count! (They're in a box under his bed, but he's got them!)
Claude and Arnie
Claude and Arnie are the comedy and tragedy masks hanging around in the Mask Room. They've been around for centuries!
Beezil
Beezil is the head of a djinni imprisoned in a lamp in the Treasure Room. He wants nothing more than a body and a date with each of our lovely maids. He's worked as a sultan's head chef (but he kept burning his mouth on the oven racks -- they called him "Hot Lips"), and as a traffic light in Cairo ("Walk!" "Don't walk!" "Walk!" "Camel crossing, run like hell!").
Fingers (behind Ginger)
Fingers is the spirit of a great organist who inhabits our club organ, which once sat in the library balcony, but now lies embedded in the library stage.
Special Guests of the Adventurers Club
Emil Bleehall
Emil is a member of Adventurers Club Tribe 602 in Sandusky, Ohio. He has been in contact with the club for most of the year and plans on being at the club for Christmas and New Year's for the annual Balderdash Cup competition.
Madame Zarkov is a gypsy fortune teller who occasionally pops in to the Club.
