The Official Adventurers Club Salute!

Step One: Take your right hand, place it above your bellybutton, fingers out, and give it a few little fishy waves.

Step Two: Use your right hand to make a gesture of slamming back a drink, a gesture I'm sure you're all familiar with!

Step Three: Salute the Heavens (throw your right hand into the air) and say, "Kungaloosh!" (pronunciation: kuhn-gah-LOOSH)

Now, then, when you're out on safari, and you run into someone that you think might be an adventurer, just give him the salute. If he returns it, you'll know he's a true adventurer. If not, then run like hell, because he's probably going to call the police.

CLUB CREED:

We climb the highest
mountain, just to get a better view
We plumb the deepest oceans, cause we're daring through and through. We cross the scorching desert, Martini in our hand. We ski the polar icecaps, in tuxedo looking grand. We are reckless, brave and loyal, and valiant til the end. If you come in here a stranger, you will exit as a friend. KUNGALOOSH!

CLUB SONG:

Marching along we're adventurers
Singing the song of adventurers
Up or Down, North, South, East, or West
An adventurers life is best
An adventurers life is best.

Kungaloosh: an all-purpose adventurers' term which, much like "aloha," can mean just about anything; e.g., hello, goodbye, wanna get lucky?, excuse me, there's toilet paper stuck to your shoe, etc.

K.E. [I found much of this stuff around the net and tried to put it all in one spot. Credit where credit is due. The Characters stuff was outright STOLEN from a great web page called Bruce Python's Adventurer's Club Homepage <http://www.gil.net/~pinky/adventurers_club.html>. He saved me the trouble of typing all this stuff out from the card that's distributed at the Adventurer's Club. He also added the characters that aren't on the card. So, Prof. Python, Kungaloosh!!]
